As a natural leader, I love putting together and leading the best team for your vision. I am firm in the direction we go for your wedding, passionate about advocating for your interests, and never (ever) one to make a promise we can’t keep.
While I have nearly 30 years of experience as a luxury wedding planner, I still find endless energy in the fact I get to spend my days as a dreammaker.
Who threw the most incredible parties (flashback to me reading Emily Post, setting tables, and arranging florals by the age of 10). I eventually went on to work in marketing for an inn, where I was responsible for booking weddings. As I grew closer to the clients, one asked if I would coordinate her wedding (of course, I eagerly said yes!). That opportunity turned into planning over 5O weddings at the venue each year—which ultimately gave me the experience and foundation I needed to launch Whitney Bowman Events in 2000.

While I absolutely love the creative aspect of wedding planning and can’t quite get over how much fun this work is—nothing rivals the sense of fulfillment I get from checking things off a to-do list…and knowing I’m getting you one step closer to your dream day.
With a Master’s degree in counseling, I have a knack for nurturing your needs, navigating delicate situations with decorum, and hearing what isn’t always said. When I’m not tweaking timelines or perfecting plans, you can find me volunteering for something at my kids’ school, advocating for abused and neglected children (we hope to have our own nonprofit one day), or chasing down the dream of not-often-enough girls’ nights with my friends.
AS SOMEONE WHO LIVES FOR A GOOD CHECKLIST, YOU CAN THINK OF ME AS THE DETAILS-DRIVEN, “GET-IT-DONE” PERSON.
My passion for hosting dates back to the days I would plan bridal showers for friends, host the prettiest dinner parties, or help loved ones with their weddings. But it wasn’t until my three children started school—and I found myself ready to embark on something for me—that I knew it was time to turn my passion into a career. I met Whitney, became enamored with the world of wedding planning, and haven’t looked back since.
